Impact

A heavy-hitting drama with a strong female lead …

Impact presents an extended confrontation between a sexual assault victim and her assailants, as part of an imagined slightly revised court process, in order to understand why they did what they did and — on that basis — make a recommendation to the court regarding their sentence.

(Although the assailants are male and are present throughout, they have few lines and Impact is almost a one-woman play.)

What Happened to Tom

A (feminist) allegorical drama about reproductive rights, showing the critical importance of access to contraception and abortion …

A man, Tom, wakes up to find his body’s been hijacked and turned into a human kidney dialysis machine: he must stay connected for nine months or Simon will die.

Tom loses a promotion, then his job, his girlfriend, his car, his apartment.

Against his will and despite his struggles, his life is completely, and irrevocably, derailed.
